Privacy policy for the app
Here you will find information on what personal data is processed and how it is processed when you use the app. The app can be used anonymously for travel searches and purchases. This policy complements our overall privacy policy and applies specifically to the app.
Purpose of the processing
In order to respond to requests you make from the App when searching for travel and purchases, Vy Flygbussarna needs GPS location.
Personal data that we process in the app
- We process personal data in the form of GPS location if you use our services, even anonymously.
- If GPS is enabled, the GPS location will be used in the location search and logged to enable troubleshooting. The location is not saved but only read during the search.
- Crash and performance tracking is managed via Firebase Crashlytics for Android and App Store Connect for iOS.
- To optimise debugging, we save the timestamp of when the app is opened.
Legal basis for the processing
We have a legitimate interest in processing this data to be able to troubleshoot and maintain the services offered through the app.
Cloud solution
We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a cloud solution and this is where the personal data mentioned above will be stored. The communication between the app and the cloud solution is done via a secure connection (HTTPS) and access to data in the cloud solution is restricted.
Mobile access
The app needs some access in order to offer the best user experience. These accesses are optional and can be turned off in the settings of your mobile device. Please note, however, that this may result in some features no longer being available.
Location services
In order to show you the nearest bus stop from your current location, the app needs to access location data from your mobile phone.
When you install the app and when you use it later, you decide whether the app should have access to your location. You can also withdraw access in the settings of the app.
Background updates
We update the content of the app in the background so that the content is updated when you open the app again.
Mobile data
The app relies on mobile data or wireless network to display travel suggestions and fares, retrieve real-time information, make ticket sales, etc.
Legal basis for the resources
The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.
Statistics and diagnostics
In order to improve the user experience, some of the activities in the app are logged in Piwik Pro. The data is stored in Piwik Pro to produce statistics that can help us improve our services or to troubleshoot any problems in our services.
We have a legitimate interest in processing this data when we use the insights to improve our services.
